Jamie and Kristie were best friends. They were both now freshman and in all of the same classes together. The were never apart. They were like glue. They just had fun together until one day. The day Dana came into their lives. The day everything went wrong. Jamie got up that morning with a smile on her face. Even though it was Monday, December 2, Jamie was still as happy as a flower blooming after a long winter. The bright sun was just peeking through the trees. Even that little bit drowned Jamie’s room with light.
She walked across the creaky hard wood floor to her closet. Jamie skimmed through her closet which was as big as a mall, for the perfect outfit. Jamie always had to look good, but also different. She took a metallic gold shirt and dark washed jeans. Jamie slipped the outfit onto her and as usual, she looked great. She had long, straight blonde hair and blue eyes. She was perfect. She put on her metallic gold uggs to match her shirt and ran outside of her house and onto the bus just on time.
She sat down next to Kristie. Kristie smiled and started a whole big conversation and how mean her mom was, how fat she was, how ugly she was, how dumb she was, and all that junk. Jamie could care less about this conversation, she knew that Kristie mom was like the nicest mom ever, that Kristie was a twig, and Kristie was beautiful. She looked into Kristie’s round brown eyes and her long wavy brown hair. Kristie was wearing a long pink tunic with black leggings. She wore black ballet flats with a pink bow at the tip of it. The bus stopped and they got off the bus together.
As they walked into school their friend Abby ran up to them.
“Did you see her yet?!” She exclaimed
“See who?” Jamie asked.
“ The new girl. DUH!”
“Oh. No.”
“ Well go see her. Her name is Dana, she is awesome. She is nice, rich, and pretty. We have to become friends with her!”
“Okay, then lets go see her.” They all walked together down the hall and to Dana’s locker. When they saw her they thought that they were looking at Jamie’s long lost sister. She had big blue eyes, long straight blonde hair. She wore a Metallic blue shirt and metallic blue uggs. “WOW!” Jamie was taken back at how much they looked alike.
“ Hey Dana.” Abby said. “This is Kristie and Jamie.” Motioning towards the two shocked girls.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Dana said as she shook their hands.
“Your very polite.” Kristie said.
“Yes, well I always like to be nice to others. Jamie, we look a lot like each other.”
“ Yeah, I guess we do. Well, you sure don’t act like me.” Jamie laughed.Jamie was nice, but not that nice. Dana could tell that she liked them, but it seemed like Jamie was trying to push her out. Dana liked these girls so she was going to do whatever it took to be friends with them. She was nice, but she was also very mean.
The bell rang and the girls scurried to class. The day went by fast and as soon as they knew it it was lunch time.
“FINALLY!” Jamie yelled. “I tought I wiould never make it trough Spanish.
“I know!” Kristie said. “Why do we need to learn i-“
“HEY! YOU GUYS! WAIT UP!” Dana yelled as she cut off Kristie. Dana finally caught up to them and she was panting. “Pant. I have. Pant. Been trying to . Pant. Catch up with you all this time.”
“ Oh well, you caught up to us anyway.” Jamie said.
“So, what’s for lunch.” Dana said as she shoved herself in between Kristie and Jamie. Jamie just rolled her eyes and kept walking. Jamie now got the idea that Dana was trying to push her out of the group, but there was no way that was going to happen. Jamie ran in front of the group and into the cafeteria. She bought chocolate pudding, apple juice, and salad. She sat down at the table and got ready for the best prank ever! Jamie put the chocolate pudding on the seat next to hers. When everyone came over Kristie was going to sit in the chocolate pudding seat.
“NO!!!!!!” Jamie yelled a bit too loud. They all just stared at her. “Um………I want to Dana to sit there. I want to get to know her better.” Kristie seemed annoyed as she sat on the other side of the table. Jamie mouthed, “I’m sorry. But you’ll see why you couldn’t sit here”
Kristie mouthed back, “Sure, whatever.” Dana nervously emerged the table.
“Hey Dana, sit here.” Jamie said as she motioned to the chair next to her. Oh god here it comes! Jamie thought as she smiled. Dana started to sit. It felt like forever. Jamie stared at the pale blue chair with the one stop of brown. Dana’s jeans got closer and closer to the pudding. Then she sat and just as planned she sat in the pudding. Jamie started to laugh so hard that she was crying. Dana jumped up and looked at her butt. Her faced started to turn as red as a red delicious apple. Dana’s eyes started to water. She just stood there in terror.
“Here let me get you some napkins.” Jamie said innocently. As Jamie got up she had the apple juice in her hand. She got some napkins and on her way back she “accidently” tripped over a chair at the table in front of Dana. Jamie’s apple juice went flying and as it did it landed on the front of Dana’s jeans, as planned. It made Dana look like she had an accident. Dana stormed out crying while everyone was laughing at her. Kristie and Abby high fived Jamie. Even though Kristie and Abby liked Dana it was a good prank. Who were they kidding? It was a great prank!
Dana was running down the hall way towards the nurses office. Tears streaming down her face. She pushed open the door with such a great force. She slammed it shut behind her. Dana looked around to see boys laughing at her. “Oh no!” She thought. Right then and there Dana realized that she wasn’t in the nurse’s office, but in the boys bathroom. Her face started to burn with fire in her eyes. She wasn’t sad anymore. She was mad. The madness burned in side of her. She couldn’t control herself. She couldn’t think. Dana ran out of the boy’s bathroom and in the kitchen. She didn’t care that the lunch ladies stared at her with curiosity on their eyes. Dana ran through out the kitchen until she spotted a slight gleam of sliver. Dana picked up the sharp object and ran into cafeteria. What was going to happen next? No one knew. The only thing that anyone knew was that Dana was going to do something that she was going to regret for the rest of her life. The fire was still burning in Dana’s eyes. No one saw it coming. No one expected what had happened next.
It is now December 6, 4 days since the attack. Kristie and Abby are dressed in black, a color they don’t usually wear. They walk into the sorrow building and into a room that was very painful. They walked to the casket as tears streamed down their face. They saw a girl with long, straight blonde hair and big blue eyes. “You were so nice to us. You didn’t deserve this. How will she be able to live with herself knowing that she killed someone. We will never forget you or that horrid day. We will miss you forever. Good-bye Dana.”
This confused me a little bit
ReplyDeleteI agree with abby, i was confused at the end. There were so many characters. I didnt know where jamie was at the end. It could have been a little more clear but was really interesting. I wanted to keep reading throughout the story.
