Hi my writting goal is having more dialouge in my story. Can anybody help me out for different stratagies on how to do this?

  1. One way to create effective dialogue is by breaking up the dialogue with action. By adding dialogue and description between the conversation, you are allowed to be more descriptive, therefore show the scene instead of telling, also it's easier for the reader to follow the conversation. Hope this helps!

  2. For one thing, if you are focusing on dialoge, do not write poetry to practice. Poetry is hard to use dialogue because there is not usually characters detailed characters. Short stories are good to use dialogue in. First, develope your characters; the way they look, act, feel, etc. Then what they say (their dialogue) will reflect on that. I'm not sure if this answers you but I hope so!
