A flower stands alone,
But in the distance stands a sea of dandelions.
The flower ponders what it would be like among the others.
If there would be more sunlight and cool breezes,
or if it would be darker and damper.
The flower then stopped wishing and wondering what it would be like
And realized that by itself it got the most sunlight,
All of the cool breezes to itself and all of the happiness it could want,
All alone.
I think your poem was very well written because of the symbol the dandelion. the dandelion represents a person or a loner who can enjoy themselves alone. Therefore, i thought it was great how you used a flower as a symbol as a loner.
ReplyDeleteI think that this is a great poem because it has really good imagery. For example, in the poem it says, A flower stands alone,
ReplyDeleteBut in the distance stands a sea of dandelions. I think that this imagery is helpful in this piece because i think that everyone is able to imagine one flower and then a patch of flowers. The imagery was easy to understand, but had a great impact on the piece.
I liked this poem because it was good symbolism. I liked when you said how the dandelion felt alone because the rest of the flowers were away from it, but then you went on to say that it got the most sunlight so there was an advantage to being alone. Therefore, this poem is good because you can compare it to real life.
ReplyDeleteI liked this poem because it had good imagery with the flower. it was also very dramatic. I like the shift at the end as well.
