Love.
The word with no meaning,
Or with countless meanings.
Four letters
That mean so much,
But can also mean so little.
“I love you.”
The phrase with no meaning,
Or with countless meanings.
Three words
That mean so much,
But can also mean so little.
Overused,
Like a messy old doormat
That is torn to shreds,
Being stepped upon with dirty feet,
Over and over and over again.
But what does this word actually mean?
It used to mean
That people had a connection.
That they felt warmth inside their hearts.
But now.
Now it is just a word.
One word.
Four letters.
No meaning.
I really loved this poem Zoe! What really made this poem unique was the use of repetition at the end of ever stanza like, "That mean so much,
ReplyDeleteBut can also mean so little." That line really tied the poem together and that's why i loved reading it! Keep it up!
