Behind a Closed Door

Behind a closed door, anything could happen. You don't know what people have, what they don"t. You don't know what they go through, what they don't. Regardless you keep hammering the door, until it finally opens. The truth pours out, and you wish you didn't know. But you also wish, you never hit the door at all.

  1. This piece is really good because you used a really good symbol. The "closed door" really made me think about how you don't really know what goes on in people's personal lives. Therefore, you used symbolism really well is this good piece of literature.

  2. This was really good because it brought up a big idea. This piece made me think of ignorance, and whether or not it is bliss. Sometimes, yes, other times, no. Sometimes, it is better to not know the truth, and you'd be better off not knowing anything. The ideas brought up in this short piece made the story good.

  3. This was a very deep and well written poem. You used a good analogy when you said you keep hitting the door until it finally opens relateing it to someones inner thoughts. This made me think about how people are always triying to get into other peoples buisness. Therefore the analogy brought depth and a greater sence of thinking to the poem. Good job!

  4. I really liked this piece because the title really caught my attention and the idea of a whole was very unique. Like, sometimes you want to know what's on the other side, or what will happen in the end, but then again, you don't. But you go ahead and do it just to see what would happen. This is kind of like how some people want to take chances, but are afrid of the outcome, but instead, they do it anyways, not knowing what will happen, or knowing what will happen but don't care. Therefore, this piece had a great idea which I liked a lot.

  5. This was a good peace of writting because it used sybolizem. For example when it says,"The truth pours out, and you wish you didn't know. But you also wish, you never hit the door at all.".Which shows that people bottle things inside and then lets them out which is very sybolistic

  6. This is a good story because it really makes me think. I had to think about it for ten minutes because it asked me many rhetorical questions that were universal. It has applied to my life greatly because I am always wondering what will happen next in life. Therefore thinking makes you smarter.

  7. This is a good poem because it is true, and what I mean by that is that it's relatable. For example, at the part where it says, "you keep hammering the door... the truth pours out, and you wish you didn't know..." it shows that some people beg for answers but in the end they don't really want to know the answer. Therefore, because it has deeper meaning and is relatable, it is an interesting piece of writing.

  8. I really like this because it shows you should never judge someone from the outside. you may think that someone has everything yet to find out there life is much worse then your own. People may look okay on the outside but on the inside it could be a totally different story. you should never judge anyone without actually getting to know them.

  9. This is really good! It shows that everyone has problems and secrets that they hide behind a "closed door". We should respect their privacy but of course we invade it. Sometimes its better to not know. It has a very strong message therefore it is a great piece.

  10. I liked this piece because it shows good symbolism. Sometimes people go to far with what they say or take chances. It showed me that you dont know what people are going through,so dont push on there door. You can knock, but dont push. Give it time. This piece also said to never judge someone from there outside, again you never know what there life could be like on the other side of the door. So leave it be.
