Remember

Do you remember the days when you laughed at everything, and were scared of nothing?
Do you remember the days when you actually liked going to school, and didn't need a computer to be happy?
Do you remember the days when you held your mom and dad's hand, and spent time with your family a lot?
Do you remember the days when you didn't have to do anything to your hair, and all you wanted to be was a teenager?
Do you remember the days when you didn't have to worry about anything, and cuts were only from falling?

Because I remember.

  1. I really loved this poem because of its relatability and its repetition. You can plainly see that "Do you remember..." repeats itself on every line. And its relatable because I can definitely remember these times and I wish that I could bring them back, and I think that most people feel the same way. Therefore, since you used very good repetition and made it easy to relate to, this poem was really good, and I liked it a lot.

  2. Julia, I really think this is an excellent piece of writing. I think many of girls and maybe even boys could connect with it, cause I know for sure that I can. I really enjoyed reading this. Especially with the repetition saying "Do you remember" in front of each sentence.

  3. I liked this poem because of the repetition for effect. The "Do you remember" beginning each sentence makes you reflect and wonder how you have changed from when you were little. Therefore, I liked this poem because of the repetition that made you think back and reflect.
