Ever have one of those days?
The days where nothing you do is right, no matter how hard you try.
The days where it's never good enough.
The days when you try to be a good person, but it ends up being a mess.
The days when you try to do the right thing, but it always goes wrong.
The days where you keep going and going but it just keeps getting worse.
You're not the only one.
I really liked this piece of writing because it's true, and with it being true I could really connect to it, I think everyone can, and in my opinion, being able to connect to writing is the best way to actually get involved and know what your reading. Nice job Julia.

ReplyDeleteI liked this piece because it is very easy to connect to. I would say that everyone has had one of those days and they really stink. I know when I have one of those days I always feel frustrated. In the poem it says, "The days where you keep going and going but it just keeps getting worse," explains exactly how I get frustrated. It really stinks when you try your best and it just makes things worse. Therefore, this poem is very easy to connect to which is very good.
ReplyDeleteJust like everyone else basically, I liked this piece because it is easy to connect to. Most of my days are "one of those days" but after a while, I notice that if I do what I want to do when I want to do it, the day will go exactly the way I want to go. So this piece was very easy to connect to and I think you did a good job picking this topic.
ReplyDeleteThis was very good because it was effective. It used repetition for effect with the sentence starter "The days where". It made it have more flow and more importance. It was used in all 5 stanzas. Therefore it was effective because of the repetition.

ReplyDeleteThis was a great poem because of the repetition for effect. For example, the first three words of the middle stanzas start with "The days when" or "The days where." This is great repetition for effect. The repetition creates flow in the poem and makes it sound better. It also emphasizes "The days" and makes you focus on those words more. Therefore, the repetition of effect made this poem great.
ReplyDeleteThis was a good poem because you used repetition for effect when you said "The days". Also this poem was easy to relate to. I'm guessing that you were trying to get the reader to think in their head, "Yea that does actually happen to me sometimes" and you did! When people can relate poems to their selves, it makes the poem much easier to understand.
