We are stuck playing this game called life,
Every move brings you on space closer,
Every space brings you to a split in the path,
You can't see were the paths lead you,
You cant tell when there are no more moves to make,
You can only control which direction you going.
I liked this poem because it compares a game and life. It shows how every move in the game brings you closer to winning, and in life every step you take brings you closer to what you will be. Therefore, I liked this poem because of how it compares two different things that are played the same way.
ReplyDeleteI liked how each line lead to the next in this poem. Like when you said,"Every move brings you one space closer" then "Every space brings you to a split in the path" you connected the two sentences. It was almost like a chain that kept the poem flowing. Nice work, and nice rhythm! And of course the meaning of this poem is great; but that is a whole other matter!
ReplyDeleteLike what Maren said, I like how you lead each sentence out and how you connected it like a game to someones life, like how you said you choose the direction you go in, which is a true statement for both a game and real life. I really liked this Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI like how this poem sums up "life" in 6 stanzas. Simple yet affective. Personally, I prefer my poems that way over those poem that just go on and on and on and on so good job!
