We'll remember the memories
The ones we shared
The ones we laughed about
The ones we smiled at
The ones we cried for
The ones we loved
The ones we want to bring back
We'll remember the memories
The ones where we danced
The ones where we laughed
The ones where we sang
The ones where we cried
The ones where enjoyed ourselves
The ones where we lived
We'll remember the memories
We'll remember our friends
We'll remember the love
We'll remember the tears
No matter where we go
Or what we do
We'll remember the memories
We shared with you
(Note: For those of you who know my inspiration, don't cry, please)
I like this poem because of the repetition. In every stanza, each line would start with the same thing. Therefore, I liked the poem.
ReplyDeleteLike Ted said, every stanza of this poem had great repetition. Most of them started with, "The ones," or "We'll remember," which made the poem more effective. It also made the poem seem very poetic without rhyming. Therefore, the repetiton made the poem very effective.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! Justin I know your inspiration for this poem/song and I have to admit it brings tears to my eyes!
ReplyDeletePS: to all the musical people.... i love and will miss you all. thank you for letting me into your family! <3
Well, even though i know your inspiration, I liked this because it could really be abou anything. For example, in the poem it is talking about good memories and missing all of those laughs and even tears and that could be about any time in life. Any memory. Therefore, this was great because it was universal.
ReplyDeletePS: I will ALWAYS remember the memories!
